About Us

No, this is not a chemist shop. Opened by Sophy Lynn in 1994 The Dispensary trail blazed in Kensington Park Road as a Mecca for hip boutiques. Over the years the stock has evolved to suit the tastes of the local people: classic footwear for men by Loake Brothers and the essential kids "Portobello pirates" and "Portobello princess" t-shirts and hoodies. Baby and toddler T-shirts such as "Mama ain't raisin' no fool" and "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee" are a must.

Other labels are added to the mix: John Smedley and Penguin for men, pretty dresses by Only Hearts for women. Witty handbags and purses by Antoni and Alison. Lovely unique jewellery pieces from "Lost and Found" designer Scarlett King, jelly shoes by Vivienne Westwood as well as the knockout Bombshell dress by Katya Wildman. Some vintage dresses and jewellery bring a touch of Portobello Road. The purple lily rose dress by Albertine Burdett is just stunning.
