About Us

The Troubadour was founded by Michael and Sheila van Bloemen in 1954 as part of the second great London coffee revolution. The first, in the late 17th and throughout the 18th century, saw the foundation of London's first coffee houses.

The Café is open every day. Go any time; eat or drink whatever you like whenever you like; stay as long as you like. Seating is first come first served, but they do take a limited number of reservations in the evenings but NEVER in their award winning garden and rarely on Saturdays & Sundays during the day.

Their menu is a mix of Troubadour classics - omelettes, burgers, steaks, salads - with daily specials.  Worth mentioning is the fact that they pick their suppliers with great care - their meat comes from Dickenson in Fulham. They have recently introduced great sharing platters - of which one is a whole grilled chickens that was marinated in lemon and garlic, served with wedges of potatoes that can feed a family of five or two hungry men. They also offer excellent value soups with chunks of fresh bread and butter, all dependant on what is available at the market that day!

Cafe Opening Hours:

Mon-Sun: 9am till midnight, 7 days a week.
