Wedge for Partners
Join Wedge Now!Wedge Card works with many different institutions and has numerous sponsored partnerships, which you can view on our Wedge Sponsors page.
When Wedge Card works in a community, we work from the grass roots up, from the homeless and disadvantaged, all the way up to corporate. Wedge believes that everybody is responsible for his or her community whether they live, work or shop there.
Wedge partners with all different types of organisations, through sponsorship, card distribution, endorsement, mutual or charitable partnerships, to bring the community together through shopping locally and keeping the money within the local economy.
Why should you partner with Wedge?
Wedge Card can give you access to hundreds of local shops and offers in your area, and get your organisation involved in the community. There are over 1500 Wedge shops in and around London and these local businesses can promote special offers to your organisation, and participate in organised events. Wedge Card can help you and your staff/members to:
- Get to know your local community
- Buy/distribute Wedge Cards for your employees and members
- Have some extra special to give to your employees
- Sponsor an area to re-energise your local community
- B2B offers on any events you may hold for staff or any procurement offers
Wedge can provide you with businesses and their special offers within close proximity to your organisation for your newsletters and/or intranet. Some large businesses feature Wedge shops regularly, and this is a great way to get staff involved in the community and to save money at the same time!
How can you partner with Wedge?
Card Distribution
When Wedge Card launched in SW1 with South Westminster Renewal Partnership, we worked with Cardinal Hume Centre, The Pimlico Toy Library, the local libraries, London and Quadrant Housing Association, up to EDF Energy and Transport for London. SWRP bought 2,500 Wedge Cards and these were distributed to members and staff of these organisations. One year later an additional 500 Wedge Card were purchased to maintain the scheme.
Endorsing Wedge
Wedge Card launched in Better Bankside and one of our partners, IPC Media held a couple of sign-up session with us. They featured Wedge Card on their intranet and set aside a large space in their office for Wedge Card staff sign-up. In these few sessions, 500 people were signed up to the card. Other organisations feature local Wedge shops in their newsletters and intranet with current special offers.
Moving with Wedge
Numerous organisations have moved with Wedge. When Transport for London moved to Southwark, Wedge helped orientate their employees through Wedge area guides and the website with our Wedge businesses on Google maps.
Wedge Card has teamed up with a number of estate agents from Stoke Newington, Pimlico and Kensington. To have a Wedge Card in a welcome pack is a great way to encourage and welcome new employees and residents into a new area - as well as keeping the area attractive with thriving independent shops!
Media Partners
In addition to our media partner, The Big Issue, Wedge works with local newspapers as well, such as Camden New Journal and Kensington and Chelsea Chronicle who run a feature "Wedge shop of the Week", promoting the Wedge offer, the shop and Wedge Card to future to cardholders. See our Press page.
