Petronella is our bubbly Partnerships Manager who has always held Wedge in her heart. If you need to know something about Wedge, Petronella is the one to ask.

She lives in the buzzing neighbourhood of Dalston and loves being part of the liveliness of the community. Petronella is mega-connected and she is always doing something in her spare time, from catching local plays to checking our neighbourhood-run events.

Petronella is Wedge to the core- she has previously worked in an independent market stall and has always admired Wedge's aspirations of a jolly, buzzing high street of local traders. She believes that Wedge is a slice of the entire community, demographically, socially and financially and the best part of her job is her work with many housing associations and BID's in and around London.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon you would find Petronella strolling along the canal to Columbia Road Flower Market or checking out her favourite Wedge shop, the creatively random Fabrications, close by.

Tess is our accounts manager, proofreader, copywriter, and all-round Mum at Wedge. Tess has worked for The Big Issue and other socially responsible businesses. She loves working for something that's proactive and exciting, which is exactly what Wedge is. She believes in organisations like Wedge; they don't take on the whole world, they just take on an issue which is attainable.

Local, independent shops are very close to Tess's heart. She grew up in a village in the middle of nowhere. There was a fishmonger, a butcher, two grocery shops, a newsagents and a post office. The butcher is still there. A chain pharmacy arrived three years ago after the independent chemist closed down, and both the newsagents and post office have gone. These little villages with unique, independent shops are what Tess loves about England, and she is proud to be part of something trying to sustain them.

If Tess was a local shop owner, she would sell food; a deli with a chocolate section, and a bookshop at the back with delicious coffee. Tess loves using her Wedge Card at Rococo Chocolates (which is just opposite her dentist!) and at any independent book shop or homestyle deli.

Tess has two adorable cats named Jess and Iona and is an avid composter and recycler. Outside of Wedge, on a sunny Sunday afternoon you would find Tess amidst the beautiful greenery of Kew Gardens, or pottering around in the garden with her grandson Theo.

Christina is one very determined Wedger; she is our Street Team Manager and main contact with new Wedge businesses. She manages some of the most important people to Wedge, our Street Team who Wedge-up all the fantastic independent shops and businesses we have.

Working with Wedge for Christina is all about the people and the families that own independent businesses. She goes to work everyday trying to ensure that they have a good and sustainable life with their honest business.
Christina has a soft spot for independent shops and she uses her Wedge Card to buy local, organic ingredients and frequents Ben's Cookies more often than she should!
.
Christina is a passionate cyclist and when she rides home, with Jimi Hendrix powering down her ipod, she does not stop there. She is also a part-time yoga teacher and she generally likes being upside down. She never stops spurred on by copious amounts of herbal tea and Wedge spirit. Look out for Christina on your local high street!
